ETH Tbilisi
HackaThons
ETH Tbilisi runs 7-week hackathons where builders actually ship—no rushed demos, no abandoned repos, just real products forged by people who finish what they start.
Reinventing Hackathons
For a post vibe-coders era

48-hour hackathons made sense when shipping took years. The time constraint forced action.
Now? A solo dev with AI ships in a week. The constraint became the bug.
Weekend sprints optimize for demos—flashy frontends, hardcoded data, repos abandoned by Tuesday. If small teams can ship entire protocols, why give them a weekend?
We give them 8 weeks. Real time. Real products. Builders who ship.
The challenge isn't shipping anymore. It's scaling what you shipped.

Long Hackathon
Lifecycle

Phase 1 Formation
Hackathon starts, in our Discord, find your team or go solo. Scope your idea down to something you can actually ship.
Start building.

Phase 2 ELIMiNATION
After 1 week, teams pitch and share results in a X Spaces. Community evaluates. Only 5 projects per track advance to the next phase. Few.

Phase 3 Winners
After 1 week, At the conference, finalists have 4 hours of final sprint before the pitch IRL. Best demos, results and adoption win the first part of the prize.
But it’s still too early to celebrate.

Phase 4 Adoption
2 weeks to get real users. Winners join X Spaces to share progress and hit adoption goals. Last chance to find a smart way to attract early adopters

Phase 5 CONCLUSION
At the next conference, two weeks since last phase, winners show real results. Best shipped products unlock the final prize + meet potential VCs and partners. But is just the beginning of their journey, crypto is a marathon!
Accelerator Rigor. Hacker Soul
Traditional Hackathons

8 hours of chaos. Builders get paid then leave. 99% of repos go dead. Zero post-hackathon follow-up. Pitches over skills. Sponsors get logos, not outcomes.
The ETH Tbilisi Way
Incentives to ship real products. Built for the vibe-coding era. 3 weeks to build, 1 month to ship. Ongoing community feedback. Sponsors and VCs get apps.
What Sponsors & VCs Get
Split prizes across milestones. Prizes beyond cash—credits, tools, access. Meet your next portfolio company. 7 weeks to scout talent from build to scale. Customizable bounties.
What Ethereum Gets
40% of Hackathon's sponsor fees fund the Open Source Track—builders shipping EIPs and public infrastructure. Not optional. Mandatory for every sponsor.
